My Top 40s list

For my 39th birthday I wrote down 40 things that I’d like to do before I turn 40.  This is what I came up with.  What do you think?  What would be on your list?

1.       wine tasting

 

2.      run in Aruba

 

3.      watch a show at the Wheelock Family Theatre with my family

 

4.      paddle board (SUP), parasail, or any other water sport I haven’t done yet

 

5.       volunteer somewhere

 

6.      take a walking tour of Boston

 

7.       go on the Christmas lights tour in Boston

 

8.      grow tomatoes

 

9.      run a half marathon

 

10.     break 30 min in 5K

 

11.     visit cranberry bogs

 

12.     make pastel from scratch

 

13.     make tomato sauce from scratch

 

14.     attend story of Christmas at Old Sturbridge Village

 

15.     visit Salem in the month of October

 

16.     make my own pasta

 

17.     watch these 10 iconic movies:

          - Casablanca

          - A Streetcar Named Desire

          - Raging Bull

- All Quiet on the Western Front

          - Citizen Kane

          - Lawrence of Arabia

          - One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest

25.    fly kites with my kids at Pope John Paul Park in Boston

 

26.    spend the day at the Arnold Arboretum

 

27.    take a family portrait

 

28.    visit one of the Harbor Islands

32.    go on at least 6 dates with Sam that don’t include family functions, vfundraising events, and/or activities with the kids.

36.    go to a show at the Stoughton Community Theatre

 

37.    attend one event from the Boston Book Festival

 

38.    visit the Enchanted Village at Jordan’s Furniture

 

39.    read The Girl That Kicked the Hornet’s Nest (last book in series)

 

40.    visit the Berkshires
